Anna Hultman has been practicing yoga nearly all her life. Growing up partly in Asia, Anna was early on exposed to Buddhism, but it wasn't until later she consciously began to incorporate spirituality into her life.
In the late 90s Anna began her asana practice and in 2001 while living in Miami, Florida, she started a dedicated practice. In 2003, with a desire to deepen her knowledge and share her love of yoga she completed, a Yoga Alliance Teacher Training at the Miami Yoga Shala, a leading school in South Florida.
After her first Teachers Training Anna continued on her yogic path and is thankful to been exposed to and completed workshops with many great teachers including B.K.S. Iyengar, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, John Friend, Dharma Mittra, to mention few.
In May 2007 Anna finished the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training and became the first teacher in Sweden to be certified to teach this method. Today Anna is a devoted Jivamukti Yoga student and is honored to have Sharon Gannon and David Life, the founders of Jivamukti Yoga, as her teachers.
In addition to her yoga training she has also done seminars with Buddhist scholars Robert Thurman and Geshe Michael Roach as well as mindfulness teacher Jon Kabat-Zinn.
Anna is known to teach a strong vinyasa class, infused with yogic teachings, contemporary philosophy and a lot of love and compassion. Her classes are always fun, moving and aim to open hearts and crack smiles, moving us closer to our true, joyous, state.
She is forever grateful to all the teachers in her life, and offers her love and efforts, bowing humbly to all of them: Sharon Gannon, her "yoga mother", and David Life; Jonas, eternal teacher and co-teacher on life and love; mini yogi Simon Shanti, for teachings on unconditional love and the need for presence; her incredible, and incredibly large, family, her beautiful friends and, of course, all the fearless students of yoga.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om!
