The Jivamukti Yoga workshop held in Stockholm, in November 2008 attracted some 100 yogis and yoginis from all over Sweden and abroad.
As this was the first time Sharon and Gannon and David Life visited Sweden it was a very special opportunity to meet and practice with two of the world's most influential yoga teachers (named among the World's Greatest Yoga Masters, along Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and BKS Iyengar, by Vanity Fair magazine) and at the same time meet fellow yogis and yoginis from all over the world.
Students of all levels and ages attended the workshop which included classes on such diverse subjects as backbedning, twisting as well as more philosophical subjects such as yoga and vegetarianism and the role of a yoga teacher.
The sessions mixed powerful asana, pranayama and meditation it was all set to the beats of both traditional Indian rhythms as well as more contemporary music for which Jivamukti Yoga is famous. The workshop also included discussions on why we practice yoga and how we can bring yoga off the mat and in to our daily lives.
The weekend ended with a powerful Chakra Tuning workshop led by Sharon Gannon and an opportunity to ask questions to the visiting gurus and partake of the ancient teachings that were shared over the three-day seminar.
