Jivamukti Yoga is a yoga style that was created in 1984 by Sharon Gannon and David Life and is one of the nine internationally recognized styles of Hatha yoga.

Jivamukti Yoga is a physically challenging practice that aims to expand the practitioner's spiritual consciousness. Classes mix powerful asana, pranayama and meditation with discussions about yoga and often include music and chanting.

The name Jivamukti means "living liberated" and derives from the Sanskrit word "Jivanmukta" witch translates into, "one who is enlightened while still living".
